2012.

January 12, 2012

Just a smattering of the things I have in the works for 2012.

  1. Become more politically involved. And by this, I mean, more involvement than the last Presidential campaign, more doing, less talking. I’ve already scheduled time to meet with the campaign & get going immediately. Righteous.
  2. Fundraise for Parkinson’s. I’m a charter member of a newly formed PD group in Chicago: the Social Chair, in fact, and am busy organizing new media & entertainment for a large scale event we’re hosting in June. I’m also working with a dear friend in NY to put on a joint fundraiser, as well as walking in the Unity Walk there in April. Also on the radar: a smaller event in my hometown.
  3. Sing the National Anthem at a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. The submittal window is February. I have my video ready.
  4. Vacation. Going on a 9 day sojournour to the BVI in 3 weeks. No phone, no computers. Just 7 other friends, the open sea, sunshine, & a whole bunch of island cocktails. Ideally, I’d like to take some time later in the Summer to join my family at our cabin in Canada as well.
  5. Fall in Love. Working on this one. Figure with all of the stuff I’m doing, if I haven’t met him already, there’s a slew of opportunities in the pipeline.

Best of luck with those plans/goals. We would almost have to road trip to Chicago if you get to sing.

Technical question, how much to you get comment spammed around here and how much gets through your filter. The last time I looked at our filter 13,000+ spam comments getting caught, but a few more are starting to slip through.
